I’m trying to hold my breath.  Let it stay this way.  Can’t let this moment end.  You set off a dream in me.

110 ten days we gave away PHP meals to anyone who needed them.  110 days we did all that we were able to do to make the world spin easier for someone who was struggling.  110 days we attempted to shine the moonlight and sunshine on those who needed someone to tell them it’s okay.

4,732 meals were given out in 110 days.  I truly believe that this was part of my friend Tim’s vision of people stepping up when times are tough.  A man with a vision of making the world better, one sandwich at a time.  A man who never cared about the price of someone’s hunger, only cared about the price of someones humanity.

Last week we put all of our cards of support up on the bakery case for all to see.  Cards of love and encouragement.  Cards with donations from people like you who care about a stranger’s humanity.  Cards that remind not just me and the team here at Max and Emily’s, but show every guest that walks in something special exists when hope can seem lost.  It’s really quite something to see.  We can be heroes, if just for one day.

Thank you to everyone who donated, everyone who stopped by and spoke to us about the program, everyone who mailed in a donation to help with the cost.  Thank you to the team here for coming along with me on this journey to help others when they needed us.  Mostly, I want to thank the humans who came down everyday and used our program.  Thank you for trusting us to help you when you needed us the most.  You are loved more than the words I can write down.

Today’s quote comes from my friends Ziv, Michelle, and Hugh.  They didn’t write it, but my goodness can they sing it and inspire me to dream.

'Cause every night I lie in bed

The brightest colors fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all it's gonna take

A million dreams for the world we're gonna make
