Max & Emily’s is proud to announce the return of The Max & Emily’s Summer Concert Series.  With three shows planned for August, this years series welcomes back old friends to downtown, an American Idol winner, and a new friend from the south.

Yearly staples of our series, Michigan’s very own The Verve Pipe return to Mt Pleasant on Thursday August 1st.  Lead singer Brian Vander Ark has been a part of nearly every summer and we are always happy when the rest of the band is able to join him.  Having released their latest album Threads in 2021, we are looking forward to hearing new songs from the album.

The Kris Allen Trio joins us on Thursday August 15th bringing Kris back to Max & Emily’s for the first time since the summer of 2013.  Touring extensively this fall playing shows from California to Florida we are thrilled he was able to add Mt Pleasant to the schedule.  While he is best known for winning Season 8 of American Idol, he has released six albums, and participated in missionary work around the world and given his time to numerous charities.

Making his debut, Noah Guthrie will close out this years series on Saturday August 24th.  Noah was originally booked for the 2020 concert series but the pandemic unfortunately saw us having to cancel on him.  Fans will recognized him from the 6th season of the television show Glee, along with making it to the semi-finals on America’s Got Talent’s 13th season.  We are trilled to have his southern style music close out our year.

All shows will being at 6pm with a local opener, with the headliner going on at 7pm.  Please bring your lawn chairs and blankets to sit on, and as usual we will have both the grill going outside and the regular menu inside if you’re hungry.  The Max & Emily’s Summer Concert Series is sponsored by Downtown Mt Pleasant, Isabella Bank, Central Michigan University, The Mt Pleasant Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Max & Emily’s.
