All bad things, must come to an end.

It’s time for me to see my world again.  Time to bake.  Time to cook.  Time to create and time for coffee.  Time to serve and time for eggs.  And for the love of queen Elsa it’s time for chicken dumpling soup.

Tomorrow, Tuesday the 22nd were expanding our hours.  Trying to find what life used to look like, trying to find some familiar amongst the waves of chaos.  7am - 2pm Monday - Friday.  9 - 2 on Saturday.  Sunday will stay at 11 -2.  Let’s see what happens, what’s the worst at this point really, it’s 2020 after all!

And if we’re going to expand, let’s slowly try and bring some items back to the menu. So…..croissants and chocolate chip cookies, everyday while supplies last.  In person or phone orders only, no online ordering for them yet.  We are bringing back brisket!  Come get a Holton, or a Usual, or Elmo’s personal favorite The Mudhoney!

But the big one.  Story time.  Our friend Trudi comes and sits in the back at least once a week.  She orders her sandwich and sits down for an hour and reads her book.  Every week she asks about Chicken Dumpling soup, and every week we say not yet.  It’s been 2020, everything is all screwy.  Anyway, last week I pulled her aside and told her the good news, it’s time for our Chicken Dumpling Soup to make its return.  Trudi was very happy as you can imagine.  Thanks for being so patient Trudi, thank you everyone.  Starting Tuesday the 22nd, everyday, available in our 8oz cup size portion.  Sorry, no breadbowls yet….cant jump in the deep end right away!   In person or over the phone orders only please, no online ordering yet.   

We miss you.  I miss you.  Its been a long time since March.  It’s destroyed so many things in the world, in our hearts, in our spirit.  It cannot defeat chicken dumpling soup.  It cannot defeat chocolate chip cookies.  And I’ll be damned if I will permit it to defeat Max and Emily’s.  I simply won’t allow it.  

So go grab your coffee.  Get your Robaire’s donut.  And a Monster energy drink, and lets show Monday who’s boss.
